How To Get There
By Car
If you hire a car in Milan, navigate to Germasino via the route which goes through Lecco and Colico. Your Maps might say that it’s faster to come the other way, via Como, and it might suggest a faster route when you’re driving - we advise you reject this recommendation and continue with the route via Colico.
If you come via Colico, we would suggest stopping in Gravedona before making your way up the mountain to Germasino. You can stop for a drink in one the bars there with beautiful views across the lake, and also there is a small supermarket and deli there which is great to start you off without having to go to the big Iperal supermarket in Dongo! Opening hours are Monday to Saturday: 8am-1pm then 3.30pm-7.30pm. Sunday 8.30am-12.30pm. Parking is just next to the Tourist information office opposite.
To get to the Villa, drive through Dongo then follow the signpost to Crotto Del Gufo and Lake Como Adventure Park. After about ten minutes of steep windy lanes you will see Crotto Del Gufo on your left. Turn sharp right then we are the second house on the left, you can park in front of the garage. By Train
The closest train station is Colico which is approximately 30 minutes in a taxi to Casa Muschialli. You could also take a bus to Dongo and get a cab or bus from there. However, we would highly recommend having a car because it will make your stay significantly easier!
